PENHAVEN TOURING PARK is the ideal base for a family cycling holiday. The campsite is situated alongside the Cornish Way. This provides 170 miles (275km) of signposted routes for cyclists and walkers. The section along Pentewan Valley and up to Heligan and Mevagissey is all off-road. You can cycle straight from our gate: |

All these short routes form part of the longer 'Coast and Clay Trail' which will take you from Truro to Bodmin via some of the best coastal scenery, and sites telling the history of the local china clay industry. |

Cycle Hire Some families bring their own bikes to PENHAVEN but many have found it more convenient to pre-order our good quality hire bikes to be waiting the for them on day that they arrive. Or, perhaps, if cycling takes your fancy once you're here, just ask in the campsite shop and hire a bike for the day (or half-day if stocks permit). PENHAVEN has an arrangement with local cycle specialists. Bikes, equipment and accessories are delivered to the site ready for your planned trip.
There are several cycle hire services and bike shops in the local area, and Keith and Betty will be happy to advise you if you need to know anything else. |
